Troyes Places of Worship & Religious Sites
The church of Sainte-Madeleine is the oldest church in Troyes, and is also considered to be the most interesting. It was originally built in the 12th century, and was later modified in the 16th and 17th century. A collection of ornate stained-glass windows can be observed in the church, which tell of the live of several saints and saintes including Madeleine
Cathedrale de Saint-Pierre at Saint-Paul
This cathedral boasts a very ornate gothic facade from several architectural periods. There are also approximately 180 stained-glass windows that illuminate the interior of the cathedral, which date back as far as the 13th century. The cathedral is open for touring at most times, but is closed during mass.
